Jane Catherine Gordon

Jane was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. After spending time in France, DC, and Massachusetts, she came back home to go to law school. When she’s not pursuing justice, she’s working on various projects and Martha Stewart attempts.  She’s a sucker for animals, and really hopes Chris will let them get goats (or at least chickens) one day for Henry and Razor to herd.

Jane is also terribly uncomfortable writing these “about me” sections, because you guys should know this by now.

Chris Cassidy

I don’t like to throw around the words “unparalleled genius” casually, but really, that’s what it comes down to right there. My abilities are most likely beyond your meager comprehension. But that’s OK, because you don’t have to understand me to like me. [Laugh smugly here.] Also, my work ethic is comparable to a draft horse. Or Jesus, maybe. I’m like something that’s determined and strong, but that can also work miracles.

I am the apotheosis of mankind, period! Ha-ha, just kidding. Or am I? [Huge contemplative pause.] In the history of time, I don’t think there has ever been someone so humble, yet so undeservedly so. Various things that come to mind when thinking about myself, which I do often: self-possessed, tall, strong handed, upright, weight-bearing, dynamic, full bodied, melodic, sweet smelling, and aplomb-filled.

How They Met

Chris and Jane met during Jane’s first year of law school. Chris was working in Spokane at the time and he thought the 84 miles between the two cities were California miles (fast), instead of Idaho miles (slow).

On their first date, Chris brought Jane’s Doxle, Razor, a stuffed buffalo. On their eighth date, Jane and Chris drove to a John Vanderslice show in Kennewick, not realizing how far Kennewick is from Moscow. After several hours in the car together, and a romantic dinner at Taco Bell, Jane and Chris figured out how great they are.

Several weeks later, Coco crawled up to Chris and snuggled on him. He was chosen.

Chris moved down to Boise in Spring of 2013 and bought Henry the Borgi when Jane was studying for the bar.  They spend a lot of time riding bikes, playing xbox, visiting the neighborhood auction.

Chris proposed to Jane during a blizzard in November. It was perfect.
